Installasi Server Web Apache Pada Ubuntu Menggunakan Proxmox

Abstract

A server is a computer system that provides specific services within a computer network. It is supported by a scalable processor and large RAM and is equipped with a specialized operating system. One type of server is a web server, which handles HTTP or HTTPS requests from browsers and delivers web pages in the form of HTML and CSS files. Server virtualization applications such as OpenVZ and Proxmox VE are available for creating server virtualizations. Proxmox VE, a company founded in 2008, is a Linux Debian-based operating system that focuses on its use as a virtualization platform. One of the operating systems that can be used in Proxmox is Ubuntu, a Linux operating system that supports multi-user and multi-tasking environments and is freely available. Apache is a widely favored web server due to its compactness, modular design, compliance with HTTP protocol standards, and a much larger user base compared to its competitors. This study will discuss the installation of the Apache web server on an Ubuntu server using Proxmox server. Apache is the most popular and widely used web server in the world. The strengths of Apache lie in its flexibility and ability to handle various types of web content, including static pages, dynamic content, and scripts. Based on these considerations, the researcher will conduct an Apache web server installation on an Ubuntu server using Proxmox.

Abstrak

Server adalah sistem komputer yang menyediakan layanan tertentu dalam sebuah jaringan komputer, didukung dengan prosesor yang scalable dan RAM besar serta dilengkapi dengan sistem operasi khusus. Salah satu jenis server adalah web server yang melayani permintaan HTTP atau HTTPS dari browser dan mengirimkan halaman web berupa file HTML dan CSS. Aplikasi virtualisasi server seperti OpenVZ dan Proxmox VE tersedia untuk membuat virtualisasi server. Proxmox VE sebagai perusahaan yang didirikan pada tahun 2008, merupakan sistem operasi berbasis Linux Debian yang memfokuskan penggunaannya sebagai platform virtualisasi. Sistem operasi yang dapat digunakan di Proxmox adalah Ubuntu, sebuah sistem operasi Linux yang bersifat multi-user dan multi-tasking yang tersedia secara bebas. Apache adalah nama web server yang digemari karena kompak, modular, mengikuti standar protokol HTTP, dan memiliki jumlah pengguna yang jauh lebih besar dibandingkan pesaingnya. Penelitian ini akan membahas installasi server web apache pada ubuntu server dengan menggunakan proxmox server, Apache adalah web server yang paling populer dan banyak digunakan di seluruh dunia. Keunggulan Apache adalah fleksibilitas dan kemampuannya dalam menangani berbagai jenis konten web, seperti halaman statis, dinamis, dan skrip. Atas dasar tersebut, peneliti akan melakukan installasi server web apache pada ubuntu server dengan menggunakan proxmox.
